Boyd Boggs creates custom furniture, sculpture, lighting and architectural components that pair form and function with innovative artistry. Each one-of-a-kind or limited edition piece showcases the inherent beauty of natural elements, capturing unique variations in color and characteristics that enhance the design.

With a background in landscape architecture and refined residential construction, Boggs’ craftsmanship blends modern, clean lines with more traditional forms. While the self-taught artisan works with a variety of materials, many of his distinctive pieces incorporate Appalachian hardwoods such as maple, walnut and cherry.
“My designs evolve from the challenge of meeting a client’s needs with a unique perspective and aesthetic,” he says. “I believe in simplicity, which encourages the eye to move and flow over a piece.”
In Charleston – a city synonymous with architecture and art – Boggs’ work has appeared in the prestigious annual Designer Showhouse and popular fundraising auctions for Habitat for Humanity. He won Best in Show at a 2003 exhibition of national artists at the South Carolina Aquarium. Charleston magazine featured Boggs in its March/April 2003 issue.
